Restored,after the work.

Upper-arm contouring, most often after significant weight loss — to address skin that liposuction cannot.

I — Overview

Brachioplasty removes excess upper-arm skin and fat, most commonly after significant weight loss has left the skin envelope larger than the underlying tissue. It leaves a scar — a real trade — but for the right patient it restores function and proportion that nothing else can.

The consultation

We assess skin laxity from elbow to axilla, fat distribution, and your weight stability. We will be honest about the scar: brachioplasty leaves a long inner-arm line, which fades meaningfully over twelve months but never disappears. For patients with mild laxity, we may recommend liposuction with RF tightening instead.

Our approach

Standard brachioplasty places the scar along the inner upper arm; mini-brachioplasty is limited to the axilla for milder cases. We routinely combine with light liposuction in the same session for the most refined contour.

The procedure

Two to three hours under general anaesthetic. Day-stay procedure for most patients; overnight observation if combined with other work.

Recovery

Compression sleeves for six weeks. Sutures out at days seven to fourteen. We ask you to remain on the island for ten days. Final result at six months as scars fade.

Frequently asked

The standard brachioplasty scar runs along the inner upper arm — concealed when arms are at your sides, visible when raised. It fades from red to pale over twelve months, with our six-month scar therapy programme included.
Liposuction alone if you have good skin quality. Brachioplasty if you have significant skin excess. We will recommend honestly — and frequently the answer for milder cases is liposuction with RF tightening, not brachioplasty.
Yes. The scar is concealed when arms are down. Most patients find the trade — visible scar for restored proportion — eminently worthwhile, and the scar fades remarkably over twelve months.
Light activity at one week, normal arm use at three weeks, full strength training at six weeks. Sleeves stay on for six weeks.
Yes — brachioplasty pairs well with abdominoplasty or thigh lift in major weight-loss patients. We may recommend staging if total surgical time becomes long.
