Inner thigh contouring after weight loss — restoring the upper-leg silhouette that liposuction alone cannot.
Thigh lift removes excess inner-thigh skin after weight loss has left the skin envelope larger than the underlying tissue. As with brachioplasty, it leaves a scar — but it restores walking comfort, reduces chafing, and brings the leg silhouette back into proportion.
The consultation
We assess skin laxity from groin to knee. Most patients are post weight-loss; some have congenital laxity. We will discuss whether a vertical (medial) thigh lift, or a horizontal (groin) lift, or both, suits your anatomy. The scar trade-off is significant — we want you to understand it fully before deciding.
Our approach
Most commonly a horizontal lift placed in the groin crease (concealed in underwear). For greater laxity, a vertical extension along the inner thigh is added. We routinely combine with light liposuction for the most refined contour.
The procedure
Two to four hours under general anaesthetic. One night in hospital under nursing observation, then transfer to your recovery villa.
Recovery
Compression garment for eight weeks; walking only for the first week. Sutures out at days fourteen. We ask you to remain on the island for fourteen days. Final result at six months as scars fade.
