Light to medium-depth chemical peels for brightening, texture, and pigment — three to five days of flaking.
Chemical peels use controlled exfoliating acids to remove the upper layers of skin and stimulate fresh growth. Light peels (glycolic, mandelic) brighten with no downtime; medium peels (TCA) address pigment and fine lines with three to five days of flaking; deep peels we generally don't perform — laser does it better with more control.
The consultation
We assess concern, skin type, and lifestyle. We pre-condition with a four-week skincare programme (vitamin C, retinoid) before any medium-depth peel — this gives a much better result and reduces complication risk.
Our approach
Light peels in series of three to six. Medium peels (Jessner+TCA combination) as a single deeper treatment. We sometimes pair light peels with HydraFacial in the same appointment for combined surface and deeper work.
The procedure
Twenty- to thirty-minute appointment. Light peels: no anaesthetic; mild tingling. Medium peels: numbing required, with cooling fans for comfort.
Recovery
Light peel: mild redness, no downtime. Medium peel: visible flaking for three to five days; bronze appearance for a week. Sun avoidance for four weeks. Final result two weeks after flaking completes.
