Reduction mammaplasty for breast size that causes back, neck, or shoulder discomfort — restoring proportion and comfort.
Breast reduction (reduction mammaplasty) removes excess glandular tissue, fat, and skin to bring the breast into comfortable proportion with the rest of your body. Most patients describe the result less as cosmetic and more as restoration — pain that has been there for years, gone.
The consultation
We assess breast size relative to torso, shoulder strain, and skin quality. We will discuss the trade-offs honestly: the surgery leaves visible scars, which fade significantly over twelve months but never entirely disappear. For most patients, that trade is well worth it.
Our approach
We use either a vertical (lollipop) or anchor (Wise pattern) incision depending on the volume to be removed. Both preserve nipple sensation and (in most cases) breastfeeding capability. We are conservative about how much we remove — significant reduction can be done in two stages if anatomy demands it.
The procedure
Performed under general anaesthetic, a typical reduction takes three to four hours. You will spend one or two nights in hospital depending on volume removed, then transfer to your private recovery villa.
Recovery
Drains for two to four days, garment for six weeks. We ask you to remain on the island for fourteen days. Most patients describe the relief from the chronic pain as immediate; the cosmetic result settles over six months.
