The consultation
We assess existing shade, dental health, and any restorations (which won't whiten). Patients with sensitive teeth may pre-condition with desensitising toothpaste for two weeks before treatment.
Our approach
Hydrogen peroxide gel applied in-chair under careful gum protection, activated by light. Take-home trays with carbamide peroxide are then provided for nightly use over the following week to two weeks.
The procedure
Ninety-minute in-chair appointment plus tray fitting. Comfortable; some patients experience temporary mild sensitivity that resolves within 48 hours.
Recovery
No restrictions other than avoiding deeply staining foods (red wine, coffee, turmeric) for 48 hours after each treatment. Final shade settles two weeks after completing the take-home programme.
