Stimulated,supported.

Platelet-rich plasma microinjections to support follicular health — three-session protocol.

I — Overview

PRP scalp therapy uses growth factors from your own blood, microinjected into the scalp to stimulate follicular activity. It works best as a supportive treatment for early thinning, or alongside transplantation to enhance graft survival and existing-hair preservation.

The consultation

We assess donor density, miniaturisation, and your history. PRP is most useful for patients with active follicles that are weakening — not for completely bald areas, where transplantation is the only solution.

Our approach

Double-spin PRP injected across the scalp on a fine grid. Three sessions, one month apart, is the standard protocol. We typically combine with a topical regimen (minoxidil) and oral support (finasteride for men) where appropriate.

The procedure

Sixty-minute appointment per session. Topical anaesthetic; mild scalp tingling during injection.

Recovery

Mild redness for several hours. Wash hair the next morning. No restrictions. Results — slowed shedding, regrowth of weakened hairs — over three to six months.

Frequently asked

PRP works best at slowing loss and improving the quality of existing hair, rather than creating new follicles. Some early-stage thinning patients see modest regrowth; advanced loss usually doesn't respond to PRP alone.
Sometimes — for patients in early thinning. For more established loss, PRP is best as a supportive therapy alongside transplantation, not a replacement.
Mild discomfort during injection, manageable with topical anaesthetic. Most patients tolerate it well.
Yes — typically with topical minoxidil (Rogaine) and oral finasteride for men. The combination significantly outperforms PRP alone.
Effects build over three sessions and last six to nine months. Maintenance every six months is standard.
